Episode 7 opens at a school-wide assembly. The vice principal drags Han-gyeong to the podium and publicly blames her petition against Pi Han-wool for painting Yusung as a gangster training ground — demanding she apologize to the entire student body. Instead, Han-gyeong faces the audience and vows she will not stop, invoking the memory of her late mentor who once tried to do exactly what she is now doing. The camera briefly cuts to a flashback: Han-gyeong having dinner with her teacher JUNG-HWA, then standing at her funeral. The implication — that Han-wool was responsible for Jung-hwa's death — sharpens everything. The assembly doesn't end quietly. Ga-min walks in mid-speech and punches PI HAN-WOOL (Cha Woo-min) directly in the face in front of the entire school. Han-wool punches him straight back. Neither flinches. Students watch in stunned silence as the two stand there, each measuring the other for the first time up close. It is the show's first real indication that Han-wool is not just a schemer — he can fight. Meanwhile, on the school rooftop, KIM SOON-CHEOL (Joo Yeon-woo) — bleached-blond, third-year, leader of the Yeonseo Three Chuls who serve as Han-wool's personal bodyguards — is in the middle of an argument with his fellow backup fighters. Han-wool watches and quietly instructs SEONG-WUNG to set something up. He wants to see what happens when Sun-cheol is put in an impossible position — and whether Han-gyeong will try to save him. Soon-cheol visits his grandfather at the hospital, where the old man is terminally ill. His grandfather talks about wanting to keep learning — still preparing for his English TOEIC exam despite his condition. He asks Sun-cheol to change his path. Sun-cheol says nothing about why he is really working for Han-wool: every won he earns goes directly toward the hospital bill his grandfather doesn't know about. While there, Sun-cheol runs into Ga-min, who is visiting his own mother. The two talk. Ga-min spots something in Sun-cheol's eyes that he recognises immediately — the same hunger to study that he sees in himself — and tries to recruit him on the spot. Sun-cheol's phone rings. It's DAE-CHEOL warning him the gang members are coming. Two of Han-wool's men arrive at the hospital and take Sun-cheol away. Sun-cheol, rushing out, leaves his phone behind. Ga-min picks it up when Sun-cheol's grandfather calls. Rather than just passing a message, Ga-min visits the grandfather himself and offers to help him study for his English test. The next morning, a murder is all over the news — and KIM SOON-CHEOL is named the prime suspect. The study group refuses to believe it. SE-HYEON (Lee Jong-hyun) pulls up statistics showing that juvenile crime around Yusung Technical High School spiked sharply after Han-wool arrived — and lays out the pattern: the Yeonbaek Gang uses minors as backup fighters, takes the fall for adult criminals, and promises them a guaranteed job at Pi Han-wool's father's construction company in return. Sun-cheol, with no way to pay his grandfather's bills and no other exit, has agreed to confess to a murder he did not commit. That same night, DAE-CHEOL secretly approaches Ga-min and confirms that he personally witnessed SEONG-WUNG cleaning the actual murder weapon. Ga-min makes the call: they go in and find the knife. That night, Ga-min, Ji-woo, and Lee Joon disguise themselves as backup fighters — banking on the gang not knowing every face — and slip into Han-wool's headquarters. Se-hyeon and Hee-won stay outside monitoring via drone, tracking the gang's positions floor by floor. Things go wrong fast when Han-wool unexpectedly calls an all-hands backup fighter meeting on the same night. The trio splits to avoid detection. Lee Joon gets into a fistfight with a gang member who recognises him and holds him there. Ji-woo slips into Han-wool's office and finds the knife — then is cornered by a terrifying gang enforcer known only as 'the Trainer.' Ga-min flees to the rooftop and the door locks behind him. He is completely trapped. Downstairs, Han-wool announces in front of the entire assembled group — and in front of Detective NA TAE-MAN (Shim Woo-sung), who has arrived to make an arrest — that Sun-cheol is officially family, hands him a bag of cash, and holds him up as a model for the others to follow. Sun-cheol steps forward and confesses to the murder in front of everyone. Detective Na's face gives nothing away. He takes Sun-cheol into custody — but as soon as they are alone, he tricks Sun-cheol into revealing that his confession was false and gives him one final chance to tell the truth. On the rooftop, Ga-min stops trying to pick the lock and breaks down the metal door with his bare hands. He reaches Ji-woo just as the Trainer has her pinned. Ga-min draws the Trainer away and when the moment is right, uses another of his uncle's forbidden techniques — the Trainer crashes hard and stays down. Ji-woo makes sure of it. Ga-min then realises his study notebook, which he accidentally dropped while trapped on the roof, fell directly onto the head of the real murderer hiding on the floor below — knocking him out cold and exposing him to Detective Na, who Ga-min reaches just in time to prevent from taking a knife wound. The actual killer is arrested. Sun-cheol's false confession collapses. In the aftermath, Sun-cheol and his two Chul companions step back from Han-wool's world. Ga-min and the study group make sure Sun-cheol's grandfather gets to sit his TOEIC English exam before he passes away — the old man's last wish, fulfilled.
