The episode's other revelation — delivered through Gecko's warning and confirmed when Hae-gang's crew tracks a management office executive leaving a suspicious location with bundles of cash — is that the missing 17.8 billion won reserve fund has not simply vanished. Chung-won has been cycling it between multiple apartment complexes to sustain a corruption operation far larger than anyone in True Value understood. Hae-gang follows the money to Chung-won's company headquarters. Returning from the hospital with one of the fake family members, she is greeted by management office staff as Mrs. Park — and comes face to face with her older sister Ha-jeong, who now knows exactly what kind of job her sister has actually been working. Sook-jin, meanwhile, appears to soften for the first time since the episode began.
