Episode 79 of The Nightfall (Bir Gece Masali) begins with Mahir and Canfeza facing one of the most difficult moments in their marriage. After the latest confrontation, Mahir appears to have left the house, leaving Canfeza frightened, angry and emotionally overwhelmed. Canfeza is deeply affected by the possibility that Mahir may actually walk away from their relationship. Despite everything that has happened between them, she still loves him and does not want their marriage to end. Her emotions become even more complicated because she is also dealing with the pressure created by her father and the unexpected return of her brother Ozan. After hearing what her father has told her, Canfeza becomes increasingly worried about Mahir. She believes that Mahir may have genuinely decided to leave and begins thinking about what she can do to convince him to return home. Canfeza refuses to simply wait for Mahir to come back on his own. She tries to find a way to reach him and repair the damage between them. Her determination shows that, despite their arguments, she is not prepared to give up on the man she loves. However, Canfeza does not know the full truth about Mahir's situation. Mahir has not actually disappeared from her life in the way she believes. His decision to remain nearby creates a situation in which Canfeza continues worrying about him while Mahir observes the events around her. When the two eventually come face to face, the tension between them is still obvious. Canfeza wants answers about Mahir's decision, while Mahir is struggling with his own anger and disappointment. Neither of them is ready to completely abandon the relationship, but the problems created by their families continue to stand between them. The emotional distance between Mahir and Canfeza is closely connected to the conflict surrounding Ozan. Canfeza wants to believe that her brother can become part of the family, while Mahir remains suspicious of his intentions. This difference continues to make reconciliation more difficult. Mahir knows that Ozan's return is not something he can simply ignore. He has already noticed several details that make him uncomfortable, but Canfeza is still emotionally attached to the idea of having a brother and a complete family around her. While Mahir and Canfeza struggle with their relationship, the family is also dealing with the devastating consequences of Sevde's death. Her death causes deep sadness and changes the circumstances surrounding several characters. Ferman is especially affected by the events. With Sevde no longer standing between him and marriage, it appears that there is finally nothing preventing him from moving forward with his own plans. However, instead of receiving the support he expects, Ferman finds himself facing opposition from his family. Ferman's connection with Süreyya remains important during this difficult period. Their friendship provides Ferman with someone he can speak openly with while he attempts to deal with the emotional consequences of everything that has happened. Süreyya is also drawn deeper into the complicated relationship between Mahir, Canfeza and Kürşat. Her conversations with Kürşat later create an opportunity that Ozan is able to exploit, although the consequences of that conversation will become more important in the later parts of the episode. Meanwhile, Canfeza continues trying to understand what has gone wrong between her and Mahir. She wants their relationship to return to the loving partnership they once had, but the constant interference of their families makes that increasingly difficult. Mahir also does not want to lose Canfeza. His anger is partly caused by his fear that Ozan's presence could permanently damage their marriage. Although he struggles to express his feelings calmly, his actions show that he still wants to find a way to repair their relationship. The atmosphere surrounding the Kilimci household remains tense. Kürşat continues dealing with the consequences of Ozan's return, while Ozan quietly works to establish his position within the family. Ozan's behavior becomes increasingly significant as the episode progresses. Rather than openly confronting Mahir, he uses the existing tension between Mahir and Canfeza to create opportunities for himself. His ability to appear sympathetic makes it easier for him to gain Canfeza's trust. Canfeza is therefore caught between two opposing forces. Mahir wants her to be cautious because he does not trust Ozan, while Ozan presents himself as a brother who simply wants to reconnect with his family. Canfeza's desire to believe in her brother makes Mahir's warnings especially difficult for her to accept. As the episode moves forward, the possibility of reconciliation between Mahir and Canfeza remains open. Their relationship has suffered another major blow, but neither has truly let go of the other. Episode 79 closes this opening portion with Canfeza still desperate to repair her marriage and Mahir remaining emotionally close despite appearing to have left. The sadness caused by Sevde's death changes the family atmosphere, while Ferman faces opposition despite believing that his path toward marriage is finally clear. At the same time, Ozan continues positioning himself inside the family, preparing the way for the much bigger deception that will unfold in the following part.
