Although most of the files are heavily censored, Irène finally discovers proof that Gabriel was transferred to a classified military division after being reported dead. The revelation confirms her belief that her husband is still alive, but it also places her directly in the path of those determined to keep the project hidden. The episode ends with Colonel Mirreau confronting the officer believed to be responsible for leaking military secrets. Before any answers can be obtained, the suspect is assassinated by an unknown sniper, permanently silencing the only person who could expose the entire network.
